Background[]
Dr. Eimar Hvit was a researcher at Arctic BioSystems. Philippe Duchamp referred to Dr. Hvit as an urban myth amongst the researchers.[1] Throughout season 1, there are references to the use of Dr. Hvit's DNA by Dr. Hatake to create both strains of the NARVIK virus. It is for this reason that Sergio Balleseros desired his head.

Dr. Tracey said she did not want to be forced into the White Room like Dr. Hvit.[2]
Day 5[]
Sergio Balleseros receives a message instructing him to retrieve Dr. Hvit before heading to the evacuation. He sets up a trap and waits for Daniel Aerov to reveal the location of Dr. Hvit. He is revealed to be a frozen severed head in a tube stored outside.[1]

Daniel Aerov tells Hiroshi Hatake the Balleseros found Hvit.
